From Hampton Roads, Richmond and points SE -- take I-64 West to I-81 north. Exit #247B/US-33 WEST onto E MARKET ST[US-33] Harrisonburg, VA (note, this route (US-33) winds through the city, pay close attention to the signs) take Rt 33 west through Franklin, WV, to Seneca Rocks.
From DC -- I-66 to I-81S at Strasburg, VA, take first exit off of 81 onto Rt 55 W to Wardensville, WV and on to Moorefield, turn south on 55 through Petersburg to Seneca Rocks
From NYC and points NE -- get to I-81 (Harrisburg PA), south to Winchester, VA, take the western loop (37) around Winchester to Rt 50W, take Rt 50 west past Romney, WV about 7 miles, turn south on 220 to Moorefield, joins with 55 there, stay on 55 to Seneca Rocks. (You can also continue on I-81 to Strasburg but Rt 50 is a little bit better road than Rt 55)
From Pittsburgh, Ohio, Kentucky and points west -- take I-79 to Weston exit 99, take Rt 33 east through Elkins on to Seneca Rocks.
Once near Seneca Rocks -- there is a T intersection where 55 and 33 meet right at Seneca Rocks, with a country store / restaurant complex on the south side of the road. Just north of this intersection, on the west side of 55 (right side before the intersection if you are coming from the north) is the entrance to Princess Snowbird campground. If you see teepees or parrots you are in the right place <g>.
Yokum's Vacationland office, where you register for cabins or camping, is a mile or two north of this intersection. If you are coming from the north watch for it on your left before you get to Seneca Rocks. From other directions, you'll pass the campground first, then go find the office to register.
Eagle's Nest Outfitters, where the canoe trip will start, is one mile
north of Petersburg on Rt 220/55.
